Victoria’s Secret Bombshell Perfume Review

The only thing I’ve ever bought at Victoria’s Secret were bras, underwear and workout clothes.  I’ve always stayed away from the makeup and body sprays because I felt like that was not Victoria Secret’s “speciality”.   Yet, I ended up buying Victoria’s Secret Bombshell Eau de Parfume a few weeks ago in a Duty Free shop at the airport and I’m in love.

Review of Victoria's Secret Bombshell Eau de Perfume with fruity-floral notes.

Bottle Design

The pink bottle immediately caught my attention with its beautiful horizontal lines, black ribbon and a VS stamped coin.  The bottle is sleek and sexy (at least as sexy as a bottle can be) and the signature pink stripes make it an iconic Victoria’s Secret product.

The first time I put the VS Bombshell Perfume on, was on a gloomy day in Russia.  Just a few spritz of this magical perfume put me in such an amazing mood and got me twirling around the room.

I usually like citrus-y smells and wear perfumes such as Moschino I Love Love (Grapefruit, Lemon and Red Currant Notes), D&G Light Blue (Bluebell, Apple, White Rose) and Gucci II (Mandarin, Bitter Orange and Black Currant), so the VS Bombshell was an easy choice for me.

The Bombshell has a fruity-floral fragrance type with notes of purple passion fruit, shangri-la peony and vanilla orchid tones.  There’s a great balance of the fruity and floral tones and a bit of spicy undertone comes out a few hours after application.

The scent gives me a boost of confidence and uplifts my mood, so I would definitely recommend buying this perfume.

Staying Power

As for the staying power – I would rate VS Bombshell a 6/10.  While it does not stay on all day, it definitely lasts more than 5 hours.

I also think that buying the 100ml bottle is quite a bargain because it’s only about £12 more than the 50ml.

£38.24 for 50ml (1.7 fl oz)
£50.00 for 100ml (3.4 fl oz)

  • I do love scents at Victoria’s Secret, I own a couple which I bought in America as they are a lot cheaper over there. I think my Mum has this one, it sounds lovely anyway! I really love their Victoria Scent! xo

  • I am the same the only I have ever bought from Victoria secret is bras, knickers and lotions never tried their perfume but sounds interesting though a bit pricey

  • We totally have similar taste. Light Blue & I Love Love are my FAVORITES. I’ve never bought Victoria’s Secret perfumes, only body sprays. This sounds lovely. :]

  • Oh, this sounds very promising! I must admit I’ve never given the scents a second glance – I’m usually to busy admiring all the lovely lingerie – but next time I drop by VS I’ll have to give this a sniff!

Not tried it, but it sounds nice and the bottle is lovely.

  • I actually went into a Victoria’s Secret shop for the first time last weekend and fell in love with this perfume but had forgotten the name of it – thank you for reminding me as I’m really tempted to order some – isn’t it just the most gorgeous scent?

I’m a citrus girl, especially grapefruit. Smell is so evocative. I love the idea of having a signature scent but I couldn’t stick to one!
