What’s in my bag?
“What’s in my bag” are some of my favourite type of blog posts to read mostly because I’m just a curious cat. I was going to make this post a before and after of what’s in my purse as I usually have a lot of random things in my bag. But to my surprise, my purse was actually pretty organised this time around.
I actually use 2 different bags, a small, black cross-body and a bigger JM Star tote-bag. I use my smaller, cross-body bag for my daily errands as it has just enough room for the essentials – my wallet, keys and grocery bags. I like to use my tote bag for travel because it has lots of storage room, as you will see below.
Book of the month: I am currently reading 3 books. Focusing on one thing at a time has been a bit of a problem for me lately so I’ve been juggling a few things at the same time. I currently have “Accident Season” by Moira Fowley-Doyle in my purse, I read “The Girl on the Train” by Paula Hawkins in the bathtub, and my night time reading is “You, Only Better” by Nicholas Bate.
Headphones: I am actually not quite sure as to why I have headphones in my bag since I rarely listen to music on my phone.
Wraparound watch: I absolutely adore this watch, so I carry it with me to accessorise an outfit at any time.
Hand cream: Apparently I really like hand cream since I carry around 2 different hand creams in my bag. To be honest, I don’t use hand cream as often as I should. I currently have “Hand Food” by Soap & Glory and Botanics hand creams in my bag.
Eyeglasses: My vision isn’t horrible but from time to time I get headaches and I find that wearing glasses helps. My glasses are always in my bag and if I ever leave the house without them, I feel helpless!
Mickey tsum tsum: I absolutely love this little plush toy. It doesn’t do anything but collect dust in my bag but it’s too cute to take out! These toys are so cute that my childhood obsession with stuffed toys may be coming back ..
Cold fighters and preventives: I always carry some pain killers with me just because I have 2 impacted wisdom teeth which give me lots of headaches. I also always have sore throat lozenges, tissues and cleansing wipes, as well.
Card holder: I got this plastic card holder from a friend and I love it. It’s small and very convenient, it also opens to show all my cards.
Wallets: I have a Coach wristlet and Liz Claiborne wallets that I use to hold my cash. I always have problems deciding which one I like more or which is more convenient, so I just carry them both and then fiddle around at checkout. Both of these are also perfect size to hold my passport without bending the edges.
Reusable grocery bag: This bag is so cute and durable! For those who are not from the UK, let me clue you in on something. As of October 5, 2015, there is a law that all large shops charge 5p for all single-use plastic bags. This bill was passed to encourage people to reuse bags and reduce their waste.
Midday Snack: I usually have peanuts or biscuits with me, and this time around I had Babybel cheese. I eat pretty often during the day so it’s important for me to have some nibbles in my bag.
Lippie collection: I tend to throw my lipstick of the day into my bag and completely forget about it. Currently I have 2 NYX lipsticks and softlips chapstick, along with a tin of vaseline.
Here is my JM Bag, as featured in my favourites post.
The bottom of my purse is usually filled with receipts, vouchers and business cards which I sort through once a month. Occasionally, I also find bobby pins, hair ties, and gum in there as well.
What about you, what do you carry in our purse?
Do you also find your bag filled with receipts and random food?
